Biography of Dennis J. McDade, CLU
Dennis McDade, CLU attended Oakland University in Michigan and entered the Insurance field after completing his studies in 1971. As a Manager with Metropolitan Life, he was named in the top 5% for both U.S. and Canada in 1976. This same year he transferred to San Diego, California. In 1977, he accepted the position as the Life Department Manager for Home Federal Savings and Loan until 1982, when Dennis formed Vista Insurance Professionals. This Benefit Agency grew to several million dollars in premiums. He merged the Agency with USI Insurance Services, a National Brokerage Agency in January 1996. Dennis is also a graduate of Lead 2000 and co-founded Lead Vista 2000 while serving as the Chamber President.
He recently formed a new benefit agency in North County called HR Benefits Resource, LLC. As a member of 3 HR Associations SHRM, PIHRA and NCPA, over these last 9 years, he saw a strong need to provide Benefit expertise combined with assisting the HR needs of employers in the small business arena.
Mr. McDade has been active in the community for many years having served on the Mayors Task Force for Drug Abuse, Community Identity Element, Graffiti Task Force, Vista Chamber of Commerce as President, Vista Economic Development Board, Kiwanis Board, Lifeline Board and volunteered with the Lifelines Mediation Team and Juvenile Justice Panel. His most current service for 3 years was on the Board of Directors for the Faith Based Federal Credit Union. They received their Charter in 2003. For the past four years, he was a Board member for North County Personnel Associates, a county wide Human Resource Organization with over 350 members.
